As a homemaker, I have found that there always seems to be something else to do. It’s a never ending list of chores hovering over my head every day! On the other hand, sometimes I just don’t know where to start, or what I need<\/em> to be doing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is why I made this simple list of daily chores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These daily tasks can easily be assigned to different members of your household, delegating the daily chores a little more so that you’re not trying to take on absolutely everything<\/em>. And if the need arises, you can change up the daily chores week by week, depending on what works best for you and your family!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Obviously there’s more to keeping a house clean than these seven things, but this is a great start to getting into a cleaning schedule and out of paralyzing overwhelm. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ve also made you a printable checklist down below, so you can have the satisfaction of seeing your progress with each check mark!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Make the Bed<\/h2>\n\n\n

Making the bed (or beds) is a simple, and quick task that often gets forgotten about- after all what’s the point? Well, making the bed daily, isn’t for others, it’s for you! I know that I sleep so much better if my blankets aren’t squished up and all over the place. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you make your bed, you may be helping to reduce stress by creating a clean, and calming environment<\/a> in your room, giving a small sense of accomplishment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plus, who doesn’t love the welcome of a nice made bed at the end of the day?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. 15-Minute Pick-up<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It’s quick and easy to do! Just set a 15 minute timer, and start putting away any clutter you see around your house. Remember, you’re not trying to do a deep clean here, just a little straightening up will do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I didn’t think 15 minutes a day would be enough at first, but when I do it everyday, I find that I’m often finished before my timer goes off. If you try this and 15 minute isn’t enough, test out a few other amounts of time, to find what works best for you! You can even break up the time throughout the day, depending on your needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sometimes, when I’m really far behind in housework, I’ll set a 15-minute timer for each room in my house that I want to focus on. Doing this, I’ve realized that it doesn’t always take 15 minute to clean a room!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. A Load of Laundry<\/h2>\n\n\n

I would much rather do 1 or 2 loads of laundry a day than try to do all of our laundry in one day. It doesn’t take near as long to wash, dry, fold, and put away just one load then I thought it would. And since laundry is one of my least favorite chores to do, breaking it up over the week really helps me to not get overwhelmed trying to get it all done at once.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
